Where's Sadie?

Thirteen years ago we named our puppy after a book called "Where's Sadie?" The book followed a little girl as she searched her house and yard for her dog, and you could find it hiding in each picture. I remember writing a poem for 4-H about our Sadie girl and how she pranced around our yard like a little princess, but I can't find it. I have taken so many pictures of her over the years, but I can't find them.

Today, we had to let her go. It was awful. I keep looking out into the yard thinking, "where's Sadie?" but I can't find her.

#shavedonna

Donna Hensley, an art teacher at Perkins High School in Sandusky, is raising money to donate to Dystonia research. Her youngest sister, Nancy, was diagnosed with the incurable disease that causes muscle spasms. If she reaches her goal of $10,000 by May 16, the day before her sister's birthday, she will shave her head.

Her students were inspired by her endeavor and wanted to help. They took to Twitter to spread the word and have compiled a video to send to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, to raise more awareness and money, and to have their teacher shave her head on television.

I have three sisters myself, who mean the world to me. Please spread the word for Donna's sister. Don't forget to #shavedonna and visit the donation page.
